The first method is something that big YouTubers, like Mr. Beast, uses it too. I will reveal what this is in a moment, but first, I want to ask you a question: do you want to start making money on YouTube tomorrow or 6 months from now? If you answered "tomorrow," then this first option will be perfect for you. And don’t get me wrong, making money within 6 months from now using method number three in this article is also a good way to make money. In fact, I’ve earned over a million dollars for that alone.
So, your best option to make money on YouTube right away is by selling something. See, many YouTubers rely on the YouTube Affiliate Program to make their money. And while you can make a lot of money with it, you're at the mercy of YouTube. If they decide you're no longer eligible for the money, they can disable the button and you're in trouble. This is something I went through in December 2019. I was successfully monetizing my channel through the YouTube Affiliate Program until December 6th, YouTube canceled me. This monetization took 30 days, and 23 days later, my channel was booming. I got 400,000 views two days in a row, but because I wasn't in the Affiliate Program anymore, I made $0 from it, missing a few thousand. That's when I learned the importance of setting up multiple sources of income from YouTube traffic.
Look, behind all these numbers on your screen are real people watching your videos, and there are better and bigger opportunities to monetize your audience than making a quick buck from advertising revenue. Mr. Beast sells chocolate bars with his company called Feastables and also has a full store. Eric sells Pizza-Fi. Preston sells products. Ali Abdaal sells a YouTube course. NELK guys are selling drinks. Imang Ghani sells education. Big Dawgs TV sells ice cream to Eskimos. Sidemen sells merchandise, food, drinks, card games. But, of, of, of. Let's slow down here because the truth is that there are only two types of products that you can sell: physical and digital products. Which one you should sell depends on the content you create and the audience you are interested in. You see, there are YouTubers who sell the same type of product, but one of them makes millions doing it while the other makes little profit. And there is one thing that determines how much money you will make: the commodity market is good.
You should ask yourself this question: what would benefit my audience? What do they really want? To give you an idea, here is a list of the most common things to sell on YouTube. The options are endless, and the best part is that there are no rules when it comes to this. You decide the product you want to create and sell, and if the audience likes it, that's great. No affiliate company in between has to endorse your opinion. Selling digital products can also work for you, especially if you are a small producer. Creating useful templates that will save your audience a lot of time is one of the best examples of how to properly monetize a digital product. This accounting video right here has over 1 million views and a call to action for their digital template. With a conversion rate of only 0.5%, selling for $5, this accounting video turned into $25,000 in sales. But to be honest, this is just an assumption. There is a lot more to say when it comes to creating a product to sell to your audience. So let me know in the comments below if you want me to give you a complete guide for this.
Next, we have a way to make money on YouTube which, in my opinion, is one of the best ways. This way, you will sell to your audience, but not your own product. Instead, you promote a product from someone else, and you earn a commission every time you bring in a new sale. That's called affiliate marketing, and it's responsible for about 25% of my monthly income as of now. In short, affiliate marketing is you promoting a product or service from someone else, and every time someone who clicks on your link buys a product, you get a small piece of the sales volume. For example, every time someone clicks on my vidIQ affiliate link and watches, I earn a small amount at no additional cost to the viewer.
So which products should you promote, and which videos convert the best? You see, this is where most people go wrong. They will take any product they find and spam the link under all their YouTube videos. Instead of doing that, you should find the same product as your audience. In fact, you are getting a product that your audience really needs. A good example of this would be e-commerce YouTubers who become a Shopify partner. Anyone who wants to start selling online needs a platform to help with this. Shopify is the number one platform for it, which makes it a great product to promote for YouTubers making e-commerce videos. Jordan Welch and AC Hampton are prime examples of bringing in multiple six figures in Shopify affiliate commissions. But that will be different for everyone. For me, my go-to affiliate product is vidIQ. It's a tool I use myself and it's needed to rank your videos number one in search results using my KVs strategy
So this is what I recommend to anyone. This works no matter where you are. Get the best products that your audience really needs with a recurring affiliate program. Instead of finding new customers again and again to earn new commissions, with a recurring affiliate program, you will earn commissions every month from the same customer as long as that person continues to use the product. To put things into perspective here, let's look at this comparison. I will compare the commissions from the non-recurring program and the recurring program. Now, to simplify this, let's assume that 100% of your referrals go on to use the product in both cases. Let's say you get a $25 commission per sale, and every month you get 100 new sales. In the first month, you will earn $2,500 in both programs. In the second month, you will receive $2,500 in the non-recurring plan and $5,000 in the recurring plan. In month number three, you'll get another $2,500 in the non-recurring plan and $7,500 in the recurring plan. And the more time passes, the greater the effect. In month 12, you will have earned $30,000 for the non-recurring program, but for the recurring program, you will have earned a total of $195,000. And every month from then on, it will continue to get better, because in the 13th month, after starting with the regular affiliate program, you will earn more than $ 30,000 in that month, even if you get zero new sales. And this is very powerful. Even if YouTube bans your channel, you will continue to make $30,000 per month from all the customers you referred to the company.
Now, all of that probably sounds good to you. However, you have to find the product. There are many ways to find products to promote. One option is to sign up on affiliate platforms like Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, or CJ Affiliate. On these platforms, you can find hundreds of affiliate programs to sign up for. But not every affiliate program is welcome there. Many companies have their own affiliate program, which you can find by simply going to their website and looking for the affiliate program button at the bottom of their website. Now, you can sign up for all these platforms, you can get products to advertise, but if you don’t use winning video formats, you won’t make any money because you won’t get any views and you won’t get any. any commission. So let me give you the four video formats that I have found to convert the best. There are three simple video formats and one complex video format. But let me tell you, if you cut this complicated structure, you can earn more money in commission. So a typical advertising campaign that I like to create includes the following videos: tutorials
